The Coastal Carolina Fair - November 4, 2005
Kailey loves 'horhees'!  Kailey had her first ride on a real horse (which she loved...see, she's beaming!)  Then she followed it up with a ride on the carousel.
Cody & Kara rode cars and trucks.  Cody is all boy!
Kara (in front) and Cody (3rd) rode an elephant.
Kailey picked a duck (another of her favorite animals) and won a flower.  Then, she went fishing and won another flower.  Hey, I love a game where you always win (even if it's a flower!)
Kara, Cody, Raymond, & Aunt Lisa ride the boat; then, Raymond enjoys the fun house.
Kara's amazing artwork won two Honorable Mention ribbons.  The two animal masks on matte board won a ribbon, as well as the red heart-shaped bowl (to the right--the yellow ribbon is attached.)  Kara also entered her blue bowl (to the right in the first picture, center of second picture), which was very impressive.  Kara gave me the heart bowl and Raymond the blue bowl.  I'm going to get a shadow box for the masks.  Just today, Kara shared her work for show-and-tell.  Her teacher and classmates loved her pieces.  Thanks, Oma, for teaching Kara how to use her talents.
Kara & Cody enjoy more rides as the night goes on.
I faced my fear of heights and braved the ferris wheel with Kara & Cody.  It was indeed scary for me, but I'm glad I did it.  You can't see very well, but we're in the pictures.
Kailey pets a rabbit at the fair's petting zoo.
It's soccer season!  Kara's a member of team Lightning.
Kara is goalie at the end of this game.  Her team won 2-0.
Kara is the player in the light blue jersey on the right (in front of an adult.)
This year, Kara is becoming a more assertive player.  She follows the action and kicks the ball harder each time.  She is learning many aspects of the game, playing both offensive and defensive positions.  You go, girl!
