Day 6-Thursday, October 20, 2005-The Animal Kingdom and EPCOT.  Wendesday night was a long night so we slept in this morning.  We decided to visit the Animal Kingdom again since we had such a good time on Day 2.  We had a late start, eating lunch from the food court at our hotel in our room.  This is the hottest, most humid day so far.  We are thankful for Kara’s water bottle fan!  Today we went to Dinoland where Daddy rode a scary Dinosaur ride.  The whole family rode a dinosaur flying ride.  Kara and Kailey ran around inside a large play area where they found a partially covered dinosaur skeleton that they helped excavate.  The girls had lots of fun with their shoes off and tiny rocks in their hair.  After a few hours in the hot sun, the girls and daddy saw some attendants bringing birds in for the day.  They watched that while I entered the Rainforest Café to cool off.  We had reservations there for dinner at 4:30; however, after we were seated we found out [from a snotty manager] that they did not take the Disney Dining Plan.  Undeterred, we hopped a bus back to our hotel where we reserved through our Concierge a seating at the French Restaurant at EPCOT for 8:00 that evening, Les Chefs de France.  This meal was absolutely exquisite.  I had a steak pastry, Raymond had a fish wrapped in delicate potato skins in a scallop puree, and Kara had a hamburger with fries.  We enjoyed appetizers of aged cheeses and a bacon pizza.  Kailey ate French Fries and bread, and our deserts were strawberry sorbet for Kara, Apple Crisp for me, and Chocolate Mousse for Raymond.  The best part of the evening was watching the fireworks display and light show from the restaurant, though Kailey was still scared of the fireworks, even indoors.  After dinner, Kara and I rode Spaceship Earth, then we swapped off and Daddy & Kara rode while Kailey and I went to the Land building where we waited for Daddy and Kara.  They rode the spectacular ride, Soarin’, while Kailey and I walked up and down stairs.  Then we used Disney’s switch-off feature for Kara and I to go through the fast pass line, bypassing the 40-minute wait.  This ride is beyond description.  We were suspended over a large screen that displayed the most amazing aerial views-landscapes and seascapes alike.  The seat dipped and swayed while wind blew in our faces.  What an awesome experience.  Daddy & Kara rode one more ride, then it was off to the hotel.  This was a long, fun day!
