Day 5--Wednesday, October 19, 2005--Kara liked MGM Studios and wanted to go back today. We rode the bus, had our bag searched, and then Raymond saw a spray bottle/fan combo that Kara had been wanting all week, so we got it for her. It was definately refreshing. The sun is hot! We then entered the park, and Kailey threw Kara's purple sparkling princesses had on the ground. I didn't notice until we were eating gyros and PB& J (another $38 savings) that her hat was gone, and that put a damper on my day. However, the kids got to meet Donald Duck and JoJo and Goliath from JoJo's Circus, and they got autographs. Raymond took the kids to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. We have pretty much given up on rides and scary shows this trip...maybe when the kids are older. Kailey had a lot of fun at this attraction. When she saw me with the stroller, she kicked and screamed, "I want to PLAY!" Her language skills are progressing, as you can see. We pushed a screaming Kailey down the backlot of New York, and many Walt Disney World guests marveled at the loud toddler. After a foolish attempt to enter the Muppets 3D show, (both girls clawed their way out of the building), we found a gift shop where we purchased a duplicate princess hat for Kara. We determined that there was a lost and found, and if the hat was there Kailey could have the other one. I got a shirt for me and some dolls for the kids. Then Daddy and Kara went to the Walt Disney Museum while Kailey and I sat outside by some benches. It was a recessed area, so she could walk around without straying. An attendent in a wheelchair asked me to take a survey, and Kailey played with the nice lady's wheelchair and her leg. It's funny the things that interest my baby girl. Another attempt at a show failed when I took Kara to see The Little Mermaid's Underwater Adventure. It was a neat show with animation, characters, and a live Ariel. Unforunately, at the sight of Ursula the Sea Witch and her goons, Kara screamed, "I want to GO!", so we left. We exited to a princess gift shop. Tonight is our dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table, so we told Kara she could dress up as a princess; she chose Belle. We purchased a Belle costume and a princess bracelet, and then we returned to our hotel. Oh, and we checked the lost and found for Karas hat before we left. Did we find it? See below. The dinner is tonight and Kailey will dress as Ariel (the costume she didn't wear last year). The link for part two of day five which chronicles our royal evening can be found at the bottom of the page. Enjoy the pictures!
We stopped for lunch at a covered open-air cafe, where we had yummy Greek food ($38/Disney Dining Plan). Raymond was so impressed with the desserts, that he had me take a picture of them. They tasted as good as they looked. After lunch, the kids played at the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Kara poses with a bug character above.
